Beach Wedding

Laurie‎ and Keith's wedding took place late last Saturday afternoon on an intimate covered deck overlooking Melbourne Beach. Several dozen guests were in attendance. Light green and multiple shades of pink were the colors of the wedding, and dress was classically formal. For such a tradional and intimate wedding, it was natural that Laurie and Keith would wish to have solo violin for their ceremony. I performed several classical selections and a song from Phantom of the Opera as the guests were being seated. Laurie‎ and Keith chose the lyrical Bach Arioso for the entrance of the mothers and the regal Trumpet Voluntary by Clarke for the processional of the bridal party. I introduced the bride with a fanfare and accmpanied her entrance with the traditional Bridal March by Wagner. The ceremony was short, simple and heartfelt, and the bride and groom exited to the triumphant Wedding March by Mendelssohn, the traditional wedding recessional. Handel's Hornpipe from Water Music was the postlude, an appropriate selection to conclude a beach wedding!
